Caller: Unknown Someone rang and a recorded message played in a Chinese style language. I don't speak that language so ended the call and blocked the number on my phone.

Chinese speaking message left. On checking with a person who spoke language it said to "press 9" press 9". If we did as they said it would probably hack our phone. I blocked number.

I was also left a message in Chinese which I deleted. Turns out it was probably a scam that has also been operating overseas - https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/2018/04/scammers-impersonate-chinese-consulate

Caller: Chinese consulate in melbourne It's automated voice message and saying that there is a important document to pick up and today is the last day. But I have not applied for VISA or anything so it's weird. The number tho is correct according to the DFAT site. I will call them during work hours to find out...

I got a call from this number and they just started speaking Chinese or Mandarin. No attempt to tell me who they were. It just sounded like a recorded message

A man speaking in a different language. I think it may have been a call from the Chinese Embassy of Melbourne?
