Caller: Legit AGL telemarketer caller I know from reading the news that AGL are expanding it's product offers, in particular NBN and Mobile - so I took the call. To confirm I asked her to read back my last call interaction number, put me on hold and then came back with the correct number. Started her pitch and I cut her short, just email me the info which she did in quick time. The offers are quite competitive and will likely swap (me and the wife) from Vodafone ro AGL basic mobile $15/5GB..Cheers

Caller: Identify themselves as from AGL Indian accent, told me he was calling from AGL, Super aggressive and ANNOYING tactics.
* Wanted to "help me move internet and phone plans over to them because "discounts" * Told him I already manage net/phones for entire family and cant just uproot everyone just because "a slightly better deal" had come along, he kept going. * Explained I work in IT and fix PC's for a living and can do my own research, but wanted to call back at a later time, even tried booking a time. * After 5+ minutes of script, told him "you are wasting your time I make these decisions after extensive research ON MY OWN", not over random phonecalls, he kept going. * Tried to end it with "please strop talking, now you are just annoying me", and he ended with "well, if you are not interested in saving money, that's your choice", which is the kind of thing that makes you lose customers, not gain them.
Perfect example of someone that "needs to close a deal RIGHT now to make money" so they will just go on and on and on until such a time you do as they ask or you just hang up on them. This is NOT how a company deals with customers, this is how people who are paid peanuts to work in call center that dont care about the company that hired them treat random numbers of their customers.

As with other feedback. The caller was ringing multiple times a day for 3 days (with no messages left) before I looked up this site to check any feedback and have now blocked the number. Very disappointing of AGL as a reputable company to use high-pressure sales.

Caller: AGL sales Apparently AGL, but sounded pretty suss. Called me 4 times over the last couple of days. When I answered she started telling me about AGL nbn and phone. I said I wasn’t interested a couple of times but she kept going on and on so I ended the call.

This number has called my mobile repeatedly today. Luckily it has been when I’ve been away from my phone. I’m trying to do my work so it’s fairly intrusive to not leave a message but call on countless occasions in the course of a morning. However, I’ve now read the very helpful info above (thank you everyone who has provided info) so blocked them as the number of calls has become quite harassing.

Caller: AGL Seems legit enough, just annoying. Telemarketer tried his best to keep me on the line but I asked to have the info sent to my email and hung up. They called twice over the course of about 3 hours.
