H&R Block referral. Got a call from them too.

H&R Block did send a letter a few weeks ago saying that they will do this. I could contact H&R if I did not want them to pass on my details.

it is national sterling financial services, i have dealt with them before through H & R Block. The financial services group seemed dodgy and I refused to have any more to do with them. I told H & R Block my thoughts on them and said not to pass any info on to them, however just received another call from them. Do not answer.

Had a call from this number once a couple of weeks ago, and again today. Did not answer but probably still the same origin as reported. Had a separate call a while back from (03) 9533 8555 from National Sterling Superannuation who were also referred by H&R Block.

agreed. I actually answered this, then had the financial company recommended through H& R block come out to me and try to sell me insurance i cant afford despite expressing on the phone, no interest in it, and then in person, no interest. I will be doing tax on my own in future if companies like H&R use our details to pass on to other third party callers.

Received this call last night.
Why are handr block giving away our details to these people?
Will never be doing my tax return at h and r block again.
Is there any place I can complain about h&r block doing this?

According to the person on the phone, H&R Block have given out my contact details to this company and they keep calling back despite me indicating no interest.

It's just a referral from H&R Block to this financial planning group. H&R Block actually sent me a letter beforehand letting me know that I'd receive a call and that I'd get something or other free or discounted. Never answered though.

These people also called me. They claimed to be calling on behalf of H&R block as they can see i had previously used them to do my tax return. Knew my name before I told them and advised me that a financial planner could talk with me over 'the mobile' about super annuation and financial advise about my 'mortgage' (that doesn't exist). Seems very sketchy... Proceed with caution... Doesn't seem 100 %

same here, lots of missed calls, 1 VM which asked me to call back to discuss why they were calling.

Apparently this is a company called National Sterling Financial Management who have left numerous missed calls on my phone and won't leave a voicemail. Most recent caller did actually leave a voicemail telling me to call him if I wanted to know why he was calling me (?). Looks like a reputable business on the web but this smells like a scam.
