The guy rang me then asked me my full name. I said you rang me -you know my name but repeated it to him. Then before explaining any purpose for the call said he needed to ask more questions about me. (DOB etc) I got a bit wary and told him I was ending the call.

I am working through my unwell, elderly brother's missed calls. In previous weeks both of my brothers tried to get simply energy (or whoever they purport to be), to change the account info, for a service shared with a recently deceased brother. Both of these brothers had been at the same place of residence for many decades.(I have 4 brothers, one now deceased).
They ( simply energy) have, collectively, & comprehensively, faffed up everything, & also are now charging my brother a postage fee for not using electronic only means. Avoid or severely limit any interaction with these entities.

Folks, this is where we are now, thanks to the so called elected wonkers who illegally sold off all our utilities ( ie the people's crown jewels) without referendum, for we the people to make decisions, which ony we can make around our own utilities - ie gas, water, electricity, telecommunications. Time to concentrate.

This thug from S.E ( Engie ) called me to threaten me about closing my account. Has called every day for 2 weeks and sent over 60 threatning emails

They called me to pay my bill which was overdue but they want my full name address birth date. When I asked why they want my personal details they say to protect me. They know who I am as they called me. Why should I give out enough info so they can get their Indian scumbag mate to ring me back and rob me? When 90% of phone scammers are Indian it’s pretty rank the ask for unnecessary personal info to pay them money. Nobody should be allowed to call up and ask you any personal details. Tell them to jam their curry in a hurry. It’s a scam to trick you into giving out your details. India will go broke if we stop donating out life savings to a masturbating Indian on the other end of the line.

Definitely a scam. I smelt a rat and asked for details about the office etc. they couldn’t answer. I asked for a note of this conversation to be put on file and phoned back on the 13 number and they said the was no record of the previous call. DONT GIVE DETAILS

Claimed to be simply energy, when I called simply energy direct, they said they have no record of that number as being them and there was no call notes on my account

Indian accent said I'm from engine knew my name,sick of these Indian- Pakistanis trying to get info from me I'd like to catch up with them

Msg left on a saturday voice mail - Gay was from Simply Energy - their offices only operate Monday - Friday. So why call Saturday. She never said what she was calling about. She said to call the offices back Monday - Friday!! I thought it was a bit wierd.

I had the same situation. I wasn't going to give my DOB. Hung up on him.

Very bad… it’s 7:45pm at night she left a voice mail saying from India and owes me money $2.00
from cancelling. Then sends a text. Why don’t they just email instead of annoying people after hours.i just block these fools im glad I left them went to AGL

Same as previous. The caller told ME It was illegal for them to give any of their info until I was ID'd giving my full name, DOB, address.... Not happy

It's Engie (or simply Energy), but their security practices (ringing customers and asking to provide personal details) and their support quality (some outsourced call centre with limited communication skills) are both rubbish.

Scammers. Calling everyday nonstop.
