A guy sounding Asian called he said he was Mike claiming to be from Telstra (I was dubious as when I have talked to Telstra before their does not appear to be much iof any back ground noise). He stated I had a router problem. He asked how many lights were flashing on the modem. I told him 3 plus an intermittent one. He said I had a router problem. He transferred me to a John who claimed to be a senior router technician. He said someone was trying to access my server, and computer even though my computer was not on. He said I need you to turn on your computer so I can tell you what needs to be done to fix it. I said no I was not doing that. He replied why. I then said "how do I know that you work for Telstra and are not a scam artist". "He then replied if you want proof then I can provide it. I said okay then provide me with proof. He promptly hung up. The number recorded on my phone so I rang back to find that the number was not connected.
