Caller: Call centre claiming to be from the Victorian Government.

Indian call centre scammer demanding to know if I was the owner of the house. He called me after 6pm on a Saturday (Election Day). He only had a surname and started his scamming spiel after I asked what he was calling about. I hung up because:
a) I;m not interested;
b) It's a scam;
c) Smart meters were installed by Victoria's five electricity distributors – AusNet Services, CitiPower, Jemena, Powercor and United Energy.

Called me trying to give me a Free refrigerator as a government incentive program this is at least the 10th phone call regarding this, after the 3rd time I asked politely to be taken off their call register, to no avail. The next time they will be an expletive spoken too.

Talking about electricity usage ans smart meter. I just belittled the moron until he went away.

Apparently Environment Victoria have authorised a group to cold call us long suffering folk to install energy efficient home infrastructure.

Caller: Indian accented lady called "Stella"

She offered me a free installation of a powersaving device to save me money. I could barely understand her thick accent so I gave her the number of my retirement village Manager to sort it out.

Called when I was out. no message. Why.

It seems I missed a call from Environment Victoria without leaving a voice message. Why would they try to call me? Have they been spoofed?

numerous calls and then hang up when answered
