some dodgy voicemail when I answered

Caller claimed to be Amy Smith from Telstra advising there’s a fault with my internet. I’m not a Telstra customer. I gave her an earful about how she should be ashamed of herself for trying to scam people and her parents would be ashamed too. She yelled at me to shut up and then hung up.

Came up as "Potential Fraud". Didn't answer. No message left. Block & Delete!

Caller: Fake employee from Telstra

Caller claimed to be Ted from Telstra. Indicated that my ip address was public putting my private data, including social media and banking at risk. They identified themselves with a fake employee number and quoted the address of the Telstra head office.

This is an Anydesk scam, where the goal is to take control of your mobile device.

Had some fun with this call and got to their 2nd level to the point of installing Anydesk. Scammer got frustrated with my delay tactics and joking and hung up the call.

Called at 1:57pm 25/06/25. Answered as I usually do for customer calls and heard a robotic voice say "Your GP needs to update your details" and to press 1 for English speakers. This immediately flagged as a scam for me as I had only just updated my information with my GP a month or so ago on my last visit. I pressed 1 just to see how annoying I could be to the scammers. A voice said "Hello?" And I said "Hello?" back and they hung up. Either spamming numbers to see who picks up for selling mobile number for future scams, or for some reason the way I answered let them know I wasn't the type they could scam, unsure. Block this number if they call and report anywhere you can for others to be aware.

Pretending to be Telstra and telling me the IP address on my phone was public and wanting me to let them "check" my system settings.

Didn’t answer 100% scam caller be aware

it's a scam voicemail saying the department of health will be cancelling your health insurance because you have failed to respond to prior communication from them.

Didn't ring. Automatically came up with a red flag and suspected spam. Said to block the number so I did.
