The reason you get the "this call cannot be connected" message is because this number is the RMH number that has been scrambled through the Telstra network

Royal Melbourne Hospital, I received a call on message machine, nobody spoke, sounded like my missing son breathing, tried to ring this number and could not be connected, so looked up this website and rang switchboard at RMH, sure enough he had been in there all weekend and was ready hours ago to come home, but nobody to take the call I was told.

I've received calls from this number and (03) 9947 3000 - they never leave a message....which they would if it was important!

It 'IS' the RMH. Jemma, Linda, Frank, RMH worker are right. Others, in future don't contribute if you don't have a clue.

It is definitely a Royal Melbourne Hospital Number but is one of the numbers that are shown when someone calls out, regardless of what their actual extension is. If you know what department would be calling you, call the hospital switch on 93427000 and ask to be put through to that department.

I just received a call from this number and called back on a private line. Definately scammers, they did not pick up but sounded like an offsite call centre.
