It was Telstra proactively calling me - and I actually got (surprisingly) a really helpful person.
Apparently I had been flagged in their system as someone who had a higher than average contact with Telstra in the last couple of months (had some phone issues) ... and they were seeing if everything was resolved and if not what they could do about it.
I had missed the call a couple of times and just got hangups ... they must use the autodialler to get people on the line first before passing it through to an operator.
