This number was on the call log on our home phone after coming back from a couple of days away. No message left, so assume it was scammers of some sort, 8 out of 10 calls are these days.

Man with Indian accent said he was from Telstra ringing about problems over the last few weeks with the internet. I let him go on for a while and then exploded in saying that he was a scammer and that I didn't have the internet on at home (which is the truth), so told him "I know for sure you are a scammer". He had the gall to say that I was the scammer and that I needed to see a doctor. How can these people be stopped?! Does anyone have any ideas?

I go into a room where the kids can't hear me and unload the whole days worth of expletives on them. It's truly Cathartic.

Caller: Male with a heavy accent claiming to be from Telstra Technical Department

Same old rubbish from the so called "Telstra Technical Department" about a faulty computer connection. Have had the same call several times despite being on the do not call register. He has been doing some homework and this time knew the address of the Telstra office unlike in a recent call.

Don't try to do what they ask you for. They might want you to login to a particular website and get control of your computer. I got the same call regarding my Internet which the guy claimed to be hacked and asked me to turn on my computer. I hung up.
