third party debt collectors are illegally soliciting funds even it were for an old AGL bill. Unless they have a contract with you, you dont ever have to give them any money. Ask them to show you proof to the contract with yours and their signature on the same contract. They never can coz there isn't one, lol!!! Never ever pay a debt collector, ever!

Bad news guys. I just answered their call. (after months of missing them) You have to pick up quick! you only get 4 -5 rings. It's a debt collection agency. It turns out I didn't pay my final Power bill before I moved to London in May. Better answer that one! Mine was an AGL Bill, just over a hunge. Fyi, answer quick, and the connection takes a few seconds, kind of like when the Indian tellemarketers call. ie you hear a couple of clicks. I thought they were hanging up but just wait a 3 - 4 seconds. This is how their computers work. It generates calls from a list automatically and it doesn't connect you to an operator until you pick up. But don't worry, It's a legit Aussie company, Aussie accents and everything!
PS. Who's the Kook that reckons it's got the AFP/NSWP involved?? Whatever buddy.

I don't know the name of the agency. I live in the UK and at the time only had about $1.50 left on my Aus sim when they called. We were disconnected after about 20 seconds as I was paying roaming charges for the call. They also called at 4AM local time so my recollection of the conversation is a bit fuzzy. I picked up a bit about 'AGL' and 'outstanding payment', then credit ran out. I didn't catch the name on the company. That's why I called the new tenant in my unit. There were indeed 3 demand letters from AGL. Coincidence? I don't know why they are playing hard to get with their tricky telephone line connection. I had the same trouble for months until one day their call finally worked, only to be sabotaged by my diminished credit balance. Sorry I can't be of more help to you guys. Thats all the info I have.

no patience for wankers
This company claims to be a debt collection agency but they are full of s**t. I had some vapid young space cadet call me, ask my name, and then hang up. all attempts to contact their number were useless. I eventually found this forum and rang their 1300 number. When I rang some penis smoker named Nick refused to even tell me what they do and then hung up. If they were a serious debt collection agency two things strike me as odd. 1) They would want to talk to people who you had rang and 2) Even if these people were pissed off you should have enough people skills to deal with a range of issues if you really were a collection agency. After all calling people and demnding money is surely going to piss people off ! It occurs to me that hanging up on people who call you is contrary to the clients needs who have solicited you in the first place. I was then told my calls were being recorded and my number had been recorded. No s**t! They rang me so they already had it. Bunch of w**kers!

I just missed this call too and surprisingly i had an unpaid AGL account too.Not sure if this number is the agency but i had just called a company named National Credit Management Limited who where chasing the AGL account and there number is 1300 789 979.Hope this helps ?? Maybe it is them maybe not ?I just tried them to confirm if its them or not but they are closed.
