Caller: IT person Said I had been hacked, I asked which of my computers, he said my personal one, I said I had three and two business. He said the one that was currently on, I replied three were on two personal one business, I asked for the IP address. He gave a very long number, told me to press windows button (by which time I had turned off my ONLY computer) I said done, he said enter Events into search bar, I said done, he asked what I could see and I said all of my word and excel documents that were called or included the word Events, he then said add vwr to the events word, I said done and again he asked what I could see, again I said my personal files. At this point he said he needed to get his supervisor who came to the phone and was a different person so there are definitely more than one person involved. He told me to type in r and press enter, I said done and he said what could I see I replied nothing. He then told me to type in Run and press enter and again asked what I could see. I said there was a warning on my screen NOT to continue, he hung up., just when it was getting to be fun.

Rings constantly, sometimes 4 x a day. I don’t answer as I don’t answer the home phone unless it’s family or a local number. Came on here to check it out & am now tempted to give the phone to my 6yr old next time it rings & tell her it’s one of Santa’s Elves & they want to know her Christmas wish list

Caller: An Indian sounding bloke A guy pretending he was from Microsoft support called me about 6 pm as I was making dinner. He told me that my computer was being compromised by hackers and he would 'like' to help. Asked me if my computer was close so I told him it was and I'll go and get it and switched on as asked. I put the phone down and continued making dinner. Eventually, I heard the phone disconnect from his end. He obviously got a hint that I was on to him.

Just got 2 calls from this number telling me things were wrong with my computer and I need to fix it... told him I don't have one.... so I hung up. He promptly rang me back and asked why I hung up. Told him I never heard of his company and would never do anything over the phone from someone I don't know

Some Indian sounding bloke called telling me I had a computer software issue. I told him there were no issues wished him well and hung up. He immediately called again asking why I hung up. I told him to go away and not disrupt my day and hung up. He rang again this time I forcefully told him to go away and hung up. Got an immediate call back. This time I played along for a while he explained I had a Windows issue, I suggested that I probably did as I have a Mac computer and hence windows would not run If he could get Windows to run on my Mac (without additional soft ware) I would be happy to hear. He then hung up. Scam Scam Scam

Called insisting that I had an issue with my 'household computer', I knew it was a scam so I asked which computer she was referring to and she became very aggressive and started yelling down the line about how I'm stupid to think she would be trying to scam me and she insisted that I speak to her supervisor so he could 'make me understand' what she was yelling about. Spoke to the supervisor who told me I needed to speak to him later when it was more convenient for them and when I was 'less bitter'

Caller: Some man with Indian accent called Sam Asked if is was in front of my computer as it was sending error messages. I asked him how did he get my number from the error code. He got bit sh*tty and said I obviously have no idea of technology and wasn’t it lucky he called..... I then asked him if he knew so much what was my name and address.. he gave me an old address and incorrect name. When I pointed this out he told me to be quiet and listen to him as he wasn’t here to talk about my incorrect name, but my computer... lol I was happy to string him along for a while but he hung up...
