Auto response on voicemail. Said had purchase order and will debit my account. Push numbers to cancel or talk to rep. I assume a scam

Scam, I don’t answer unknown callers. I send them to voicemail and reverse look up the number. And for the most part they turn out to be scammer’s.

Automatic digital voice recording. Claimed a purchase order exists and funds would be and will debited my account (???). Then instructions to select options (numbers) to cancel or talk to representative.
Clearly a SCAM CALL. I terminated call (without selecting a response option) and blocked the number.

Caller: Claimed to be from the bank Claimed that someone was trying to use $900.00 from my account to buy bitcoin. I told them I would contact my bank and hung up. From the noise in the background and the pause before they answered I would expect this to be a scam.

Claimed to be calling from Telstra - knew my name - wanted to know if my internet had been having problems. Gave me a 32 digit CLSI number - supposed to be some security code for my account. Could not verify if this was really Telstra - I asked if I could call them back to verify and she gave me this number (02) 8091 3481. Unsure if this is legit or not but I didn't call back.

Claimed to work for Visa. Somehow knew my recent activity. The call ended while I was talking. None of the questions seemed like red flags, but I'll be sure to visit my bank, just in case.

After 15 messages on this web site. I would have thought that Scam Watch would have taken it down, after all it's been going since 2022!

Asking generic survey questions, which I answered, got annoyed when I wouldn't give him an email address to send through the survey results through to, told the guy to put in a fake email as I wasn't giving him my email and he hung up on me....so obviously some sort of phishing scam

Automated message claiming to be from Chinese consulate then started speaking in chinese. I hung up and blocked the number. I’m not even Chinese so I have no idea what they were saying when they stopped speaking in English.

Scamming payment for account that doesn't exist. Why can't TELCOs stop these sort of calls? (Because they make money from supplying the numbers!)

Answered the call but the voice message wasn’t in English at all. Hung up straight away. Scam

Wouldn't it be great if we could report these scammers to the Telcos so they could stop their accounts, before they scam more people.
