Caller: Indian woman with heavy accent Knew it was that old fashion outdated type phone scam immediately Someone pretending to be from the Technical Department of Telstra calling about my internet and that my IP address was compromised. Told them I'm not with Telstra but they kept insisting its the IP that runs through all Telstra networks at which I ended the call. Then they kept phoning me on different Melbourne numbers to make it look legitamate

Caller: An indian woman Claiming to be from brisbane seeking to help me claim compensation for a car accident I was supposedly in in the last 6 months to help compensate me for my physical injury and damage to my car, she wanted my full name, D.O.B, address, TFN and bank account details, when I asked for a manager she said there was none. She rang me 3 months ago with the exact same name and speech.

A guy speaking in a foreign language was not making any sense. However I find it ludicrous that with so many scam calls registered against this phone number, that it hasn't been reported to a telco company! I rang the scam number back and Telstra(?) said that this number can't be accessed from my number??? It appears that the scammers need you to stay connected if they are to avoid detection.

Caller: Foreign Indian woman caller Foreign woman called me about the compensation I was seeking about a previous accident. I said "you must have the wrong number". She knew my name. I told her "I've had no such accident and no compensation sought and there is no reason for me to discuss anything further". I did say "goodbye" before I hanged up.

Tried to call me but hung up as I picked up - doubtless another scum bucket, *anker. The telcos need to be held to account, they will let anyone have a bank of numbers.

Claiming to be from Telstra technical department Melbourne about internet error messages. That old chestnut 🌰. I told them that the longer they stay on the line. The easier it is to trace their exact location. I told them we now know exactly where they are. And they will hear from us shortly. This is an illegal scam call.

Caller said they were from Commonwealth Bank account security. I played along to see what he said, without giving out any details or accessing anything. Said that there had been a lot of recent unusual activity on my account, that there was someone trying to hack into my accounts and that he wanted me to access something on my phone to help him catch the hacker. Within 10 seconds of me saying that this was a scam he hung up on me.
