Said their name was Rick Wilson. Saying my Amazon account was going to be charged $1000. Asking if had shared my password and they were goi g to help me stop the amount going through. Said did not need to give any personal details but told them to call back in an hour and they haven’t

SCAM ATTEMPT
This was a more sophisticated than usual scam call inasmuch as the voice was that of a well-spoken, Australian? female and in addition, there was no 'call centre-like' background noise.
The call commenced "Hello customer" - [red flag 1, she has my phone number but doesn't know my name] - and continued with a spiel about Credit card security. Then she said "Your Visa or Mastercard" - [red flag 2, she doesn't know which] - "has been charged $1000" - [red flag 3, it's a scam].
I hung up.

Didn't answer, no message left. Definitely a scam because of so many earlier comments.

Malicious Caller ID spoofing robocalls. Scam call centre operating in India. Purporting to be one of numerous organisations on any given call/day.

Do not disclose or 'confirm' any personal or financial details. Do not download any software or allow remote access to your devices.

Best not to answer any calls or return any missed calls from these numbers.

SCAM Rang and had automated voice of your card has had a transaction attempt of $1000 if you didn’t authorise this transaction press 1 if you did press 2. Hung up and blocked number.

This phone number called me but didn’t say anything. I think this is scam

Caller: EVA cards

Advising that an Apple Gift card had been ordered in my name from California using my personal details. When i asked what address had been given they hung up.

Told me they are from Security department for visa and mastercard ?WTH ? spammer with clear south asian accent and claiming to be "STEVE"

I didn’t pick up the call and they left no message. Blocked. Getting sick of this… come on Telcos, do something!
