My phone was silence to unknown callers so I don't get a ring tone for all unknown and not registered on my phone. I received a phone call to this number today (03) 9112 5943, I tried calling them back putting my number on private and this number did not even ring and just disconnected.

They just said hello then hang up.

Block them.

Caller: "Census Council"

Claimed to be getting information for "local government", couldn't name local government.

I gave them false answers because I was curious - they want to know if you own your house and whether you earn above 70k.

My fake persona has a mortgage (in real life i couldn't dream of it) so if they try and call Ms Fakename back I can waste some of their time :)

I have blocked this number as spam in the past. My phone carrier service are doing a great job preventing this number from reaching me. I do get a warning text messages saying this number tried to call and didn't leave a message, so I keep reporting it as blocked spam.

a mist call x2 looks like with most of the conplaint.s posted. only a stress test.? no wonder no one ansers the phone no more. or is that only me. the calls lower owe trust. & builds, hate treat. not Australian.at all.

my phone showed i missed this call. I called the number, but it did not connect. no ring tone or anything.

Similar to the others above - 1.57 pm - answered call but just noise and no-one speaking; didn't wait to see if anything eventuated - called back and number dialled but no answer - so have blocked and deleted from contacts ....

Received a call from this number, politely said I was working and couldn't speak. Waited for a response and heard nothing, said 'hello' and they responded that if I couldn't talk why was I still on the line. They proceeded to say 'Whatever... idiot' and hung up. Wow.

I answered and they hung up immediately. Now blocked. I getting very frustrated with the amount of scam calls, perceivably because when shopping online you have to leave your phone number. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

2 calls in the pass week despite blocking number

Caller: They Claimed Census

Asked me questions prompting a “yes” feel this is a scam call.
Worried because I answer yes once or twice.

Picked up once and no answer, assumed spam, number blocked. Still received call every few days

Grrr they call and don’t identify themselves

They take no for an answer keep calling wofling on about survey then hangup whats the point of calling? More time wasting idiots!

delay in answering.

I keep getting calls from this number (03) 9112 5943 so blocked it. It seems to be a call centre where my number got sold on some list. Very annoying

They've called me twice.
Answered this second time. The call went as followed

Me: Hello
Caller: Good morning, is this [surname]?
Me: No
Caller: No?
Me: No

She failed to identify herself or who she was calling on behalf. Will be blocking the number.
