Indian person calling themselves LIFESTYLES VICTORIA
when I asked what they wanted she got angry with me and hang up.
Tried calling the number back and it says this number is not connected.

This number continues to call most days and simply hangs up. If you call the number back it says not in service anymore

Caller: “Lifestyle Victoria”

I answered the phone and there was the usual 2-3 second delay indicating a related phone call from overseas. I was immediately suspicious but I know that if you answer and don’t fit their demographic then they won’t call back.
Phillipines sounding woman said, Is that Leia? Not my name but a fake one I use sometimes. I said, Who is this? She said, My name is Angel. Can I ask you a few questions for a quick 2 minute survey?
I said okay (I used to work in a legitimate call centre who did surveys so I give them the benefit of the doubt).
First question was: Are you aged between 25-55? I said No.
Then she said, Are you over 55? You sound younger. What is your age?
I said: I am over 55.
She said, Are you 56? I said No.
She said, Are you 57?
I said: I am not telling you my age.
Then she babbled the next question. Do you think that escalating prices in Victoria have negatively impacted your lifestyle?
I replied: Obviously Yes. Where are you from again?
She hung up and I have blocked the number. These people ring up asking random questions so they can complete a profile picture. I probably should have grilled her up front as I have done in the past, but I didn’t give her any significant information. They usually ask if I own my own home and I refuse to answer nor do I give away any information about my income, occupation or work status.
These people are pests but so are many people you encounter in everyday life - my next-door neighbour for example! 😁

Caller: Telemarketer, possible scammer

A lady with an Indian accent called me and said she was from a company called Lifestyle Industries. She addressed me by "Vanessa" and when I questioned it, because Vanessa isn't my name, she acted like she never said it and started rambling on about a series of questions she needed to ask me. She forcefully said "Once you've answered them, I'll be out of your way" like I didn't have a choice. Naturally, I hung up and blocked the number. She's obviously used a carrier number because if you try and call it back, you get a recording saying that the number is disconnected

I just missed a call from this phone number, but I am concerned about the survey questions that you mentioned. Some people could collate that information to sell onto others, also take care in speaking the word "yes" as it can be recorded and then used for a loan application or something that takes/keeps records of voice caller ID's. Your recorded answer could be used by someone else to gain funds fraudulently using your details, and your own voice. The other questions could be used to evaluate whether or not you would be a "mark" worth attempting a con or not. Please take care.

Scammers and stalkers.. Any number beginning with 03911 are them

An Indian sounding voice. I asked the lady if she wanted to buy some clothes pegs - personally monogrammed! She hung up!

Indian lady from Lifestyles victoria - was quite forceful when I said I was working - I hung up on her. Blocked the number

Every day. Can't we do something about these callers. And shame on the companies that give our personal information away by letting them know our mobile nos. I'm not even an online shopper etc. Don't give out my no. easily. Not sure how they got it.

These scammers have tried to call me numerous times. They are getting better in their approach so be careful. Yes they seem to want to get your personal information and no doubt they will use or sell it. Give them nothing. Ask them for a good butter chicken recipe though as no doubt they could help you with that. They use number (03) 9112 5943.

They have called me each day this week.
Today, the same girl called. I asked for them to stop calling me. She said "no" and hung up.
Bloody annoying.

just got a call from "lifestyle victoria" P: (03) 9112 5960. The person hung up when i asked who was funding this survey.

When I answered there was a computerised message saying that my tax file number had been blocked and that I was under criminal investigation. If I wanted to speak to legal representatives before being taken to trial, they urged me to press 1.
Sounded like a scam right from the get go, but I pressed 1 anyway.
Indian sounding guy answered and asked me why I was calling and I said that I had been told to press 1.
Then he asked me to confirm a few details (name, dob, address, best contact number).
I replied and said that I'd like him to tell me what they all are considering that they called me.
He hung up.

When I told him that I had told the previous lady who called me that I don’t want anymore calls from Lifestyle Victoria. He became abusive and called me a bitch, a whore. slut and a whole lot of unsavoury names.I got so angry and told him that I’m going to the police to give him on for harassment and give them the ph number. I am going to do this

Answered the phone and just had silence for a second, after which they hung up.

The called asked for me by name, I asked who he wanted to speak to, and he hung up. Definitely scam. Number blocked.
