They call and say they are from Vodafone and asking for your pin number. After hanging up they called straight back. Not answered this time and blocked.

Called me 3 times in one day and has called multiple times before. I have not answered but receding to the above messages I have assumed it is the same person. Next time they call I will answer and provide more info!

an Indian woman alleged she was representative of Vodafone and asked my PIN number, I said I cannot remember, then she said she needed to confirm my date of birth, so she needed to tell me the date and I confirmed whether it is correct or not right? but she just waited for me to tell her. When I said I could just go to the shop to confirm or change my information, she just hung up right away. I think this number is not from Vodafone.

They said hello and asked my name. After I provided them with confirmation the call ended.
I am with vodafone and my contract is about to expire so the assumption is it was about that

She claimed that she is calling from Vodafone and wanted to discuss regarding my phone plans. I’m with Vodafone for almost 8 years now and never received any calls from Vodafone. Instantly I knew that this is spam and rejected her call. Don’t give any information to them.

It is a legit Vodafone call to discuss upgrading etc. They ask for your account PIN, which is disturbing. I argued the point with the caller and said "ok, I'm from your bank....tell me your internet banking password?" It is poor form for a company to encourage customers to break basic security.

Why don't they just send a email instead?

I don't answer numbers I don't recognize by saying "Hello." This number was absolutely silent, and hung up when it didn't hear a recognizable voice at the other end. It's an automatic caller, so obviously, irrelevant of whether it is a scam by an amateur criminal or a professional one (like an Australian telecom), it's an unwelcome call.

If it's Vodafone and I'm a Vodafone subscriber, why do they call me when I'm overseas and roaming? Am I going to answer a marketing call and pay overseas roaming charges?

Called the number back, it's Vodafone alright. I'm a customer too, but they're blocked. Bloody robocalling ...
