If you answer and speak to a person, interrupt what they are saying with, 'can you please take me off your call register'. I have had 100% success with this method.

I've been receiving daily calls from this number, they leave no message. Going to block it as everyone else here has suggested. So annoying!! I get so many of these kinds of calls from a host of different numbers. Might have to bring this up with my phone provider if they can help at all.

didn't pick up. for insurance calls, just tell them that you're a student, most will hang up immediately

when you answer you are charged for a call.so don't answer at all. these bastards need jailing.

Scam calls with Indian accent, they use different numbers to call people on Mobile and Landlines etc. can this be picked up by telecom company and reported to police?

Yeah got this call today, I answered but they didn't say anything. I have had several calls from australian landlines in previous couple of days

Caller said they were from Customer Benefits Services and when I asked again then said he was from Client Benefit Services. Said he was calling from New Delhi, India. Promised to put my number on a do not call register which is the same promise I've been given numerous times over the last month.

yes they are a scam, what they do i think is call to see if you answer. if you do they hang up and follow through with calls from overseas . those that charge you just for picking up. do not pick up these numbers under any circumstances unless you know who they are:
