They are still at it. The call went to message bank, and no message, so it couldn’t be legitimate. Why phone back? Now blocked.

Caller: Easy Finance

A guy named Eton called my workplace, claiming to be from Easy Finance requesting to speak to the owner of the business, advised him they aren't available and if I could take a message. He said he would try back later.
I had already googled the number to find out it was a scam, hence why i said they aren't available.

Why don't the telco's block these nuisance callers. Answer: probably coz the reap the $$$$'s from their bombarded calls. Or......perhaps these bl**d* clots harness disused numbers, get in the back door & don't pay a cent.

I got a call from this number so put my phone on private and called it back. As per other comments, this number is from a marketing centre but don't say WHO they are. On a plus side you do get to press 9 to stop future calls still I have also blocked the number. BUT, let's see if they change this number to another one OR if they dismiss my "stop receiving calls" and call again.

By pressing 9 you validated your phone number to them so they can sell it to other "marketing" firms.

Trying to sell solar rebate. How are the telcos not banishing these loser scammers from the networks???? This same guy has been calling me for months. Told him to remove my number from his list. He laughed and said that he can’t, then hung up. Needs. Shovel over the head.

Called regarding a "solar rebate". She asked if we had solar panels. Replied that if she didn't know the answer to that, why was she phoning. Hung up.

The displayed 03 number was not one that I recognised (I have family and friends in Victoria). A few moments of someone breathing into their headset microphone before saying "Hello?", and when I asked, "Who's doing the heavy breathing?", they hung up without another word. What a wimp. Presumably about solar panels (of which I've been getting a few calls lately), because I've deterred Microsoft / Telstra / NBN scammers from calling me after giving them extravagant time wastage using a virtual computer. If these solar panels scammers seek to confirm my name, I don't confirm or deny, but I ask them who they are. If they again seek to confirm my identity, I ask them if they want to talk to those people, or to whoever lives here now. The story I use is that I live in a rental house (not true), and that it's obviously no use talking to me about solar panels because I don't own the place.

Don't complain here. Leave a message for others on who called but you NEED TO REPORT these time wasters to the https://www.donotcall.gov.au/consumers/lodge-a-complaint/lodge-a-complaint/. It only takes a couple of minutes and hopefully the message will get through to these morons to stop calling.

Scam caller . something about a solar rebate. He didn't like it when I kept asking him questions about who he was , where is he from, who the rebate came from, what dept etc etc. He didn't have answers for any of it. And then when I asked him why he's trying scam people he went silent. Then I said to get a proper job as he's no good at what he does he hung up.
