DODGY, They knew my f & l name, then hung up

Claimed to be from an energy company offering free devices. Long delay suggested overseas call.

No message left.

Answered call and it was someone with Indian accent asking me if I’ve received my power saving advice for the Vox government. This is the 4th call with the same topic with pushy and aggressive scammers like these ones.

Lady, Indian accent. Poor English. Calling claiming to be on behalf of the Vic Govt about power saving device.

Rang me and nobody on other end

Scam called. Said hello three times after a delay then said Gday Margaret. I said I’m not Margaret and he hung up.

“Frank”. Indian accent. Told me that the “VEU” was setting up some electricity monitoring unit and they needed to be let in the house for “6 or 7 minutes “ to set it up. Hung up on him. I knew not to answer in the first place, but can be stupid that way

Knew my name & postcode. Claiming a parcel from govt fir meter box should have arrived. Wants to come to home to install. Make a time.
They ring 3 times a day from Green world.

Called asking me if I had received some device - dont bother

Selling free electricity saving device then hung up when I said not interested.

Person with Indian accent claiming that he is from Victoria Energy Upgrade and wants to send someone by to install a device next to our smart meter. Asked for the time we are available.

Sounds like a scam.

Called very late.

Silent no. yet Optus had given my full name out. Sounded like African call centre, claimed he was in Melbourne.

Wouldn't say who he was calling on behalf of. When asked 2nd time if he was aware of the time he immediately cut off the line.

Called three times in one hour. Really annoying. Scam
