I called back the number (03) 9068 3437 but was routed automatically to an ivr

Caller: Sherry from 'Energy Savers' - scam

Claimed to be from 'Energy Savers' and wanted to know details of power bill

Caller: Perceived scammer

Picked up initial call - noone spoke (17 sec call). Caller immediately called back with same number (03) 9068 3437) and didn't speak again (15 sec call) - appears to be computer generated call as there was pretty much no delay/instantaneous call back after initial call.
When tried to call number back, I received an automated message advising that 'the mobile service you have called is switched off. Please try again later'.
Have since blocked number.

Scam regarding power rates!

called this number back, says 'please check the number and call again'. obviously is a scam. received several calls from other similar number that when returned call had the same message to check the number and call again.

They hung up after I answered and said hello.

Asking about who our energy provider was and if I was the person on the bill. When i said I wasn’t they hung up.

Didn’t answer as they rang on a Friday night with a Melbourne number and we live in Newcastle so knew it would be scammers using a cloned number or telemarketers

Weird long pause to answer. Didn’t sound genuine so hung up.

Caller: David from Energy Savers

Called on Friday evening, said his name was David and started asking me about my bills. Hello David (who, what company? - had to clarify), why do you even think I would want to talk to you about my bills after you give me a random call on a Friday night. These ppl are insane, can you still get any clients that way?

Caller: Power bill scammers

Indian man saying he’s calling about my power bill. I said I don’t have one in my name. He said “ok thanks bye”

Get a call from this number each Friday it seems. I’m not always able to answer calls but having done so just now / silence then hung up on. I’ve now blocked the number

i just received call from this number, i asked him what's the matter, he says it's about my recent energy bill and i knew it was some kind of scam and the person on other side can't even pronounce my name right but by his ascent i knew he was Indian and offshore call. why don't these people go and find real job rather than wasting our time.

Said her name was Scarlet and said she was calling for an urgent favour. I hung up.

I’ve had numerous missed calls from this number. When I call back (almost instantly) I’m told the number has been disconnected.
