Marketing and Sales caller.

Called twice, said “hello” then no response and hung up.

Called me as I was preparing evening dinner and left no message, I called back later and the number is disconnected.

Caller: Scammer

Scammer scum. Hung up immediately I asked who she was.

Rang a few times and hung up. Probably a scammer.

One of those "Replace all your light bulb" things. Stated I was on the DO NOT CALL register and they hung up abruptly without anything - SO RUDE!

They hung up as soon as I answered - SPAM/SCAM

answered 2nd call from this number. They said they were ringing about replacing light bulbs with LEDs even though we have already done this. They hung up once I said it had been done with no problems. Could be legit or a scam

Came up as suspected spam call on a number listed on the Do Not Call Register.
Caller hung up without speaking

Looks like an unknown Melbourne Victoria number. When I picked it after approx five rings, it HUNG UP on me.
Bastards!!!
I rang it and after a buzzing-sound pause I realised they must be based overseas. A woman’s voice with Indian accent said “Welcome to Victorian Energy Lighting Upgrade”. Clearly a SCAM. I hung up on her. Then I rang again but same overseas buzzing-sound pause happened. Out of nowhere popped an Indian accent bloke who said the same as the woman before “Welcome etc...”. I asked him what my name is and he said “James Lusher”.
Well, for starters I’m not a bloke!!
He was spelling out the bogus name loudly like a madman. Then I asked what’s my number. Silence! I reckon he was just about ready to hang up but I hung up first!!!
WHY can’t TELSTRA do a damn thing about these scams? Telstra = Multi-Billion dollar company. Surely they’ve got the cash & equip to BLOCK these daily scams from our mobiles & landlines????

Caller: Scam offering solar battery installation

Call centre offering to instal solar batteries, has rung from various numbers over past 4 weeks and callers refuse to identify themselves or their company

Victorian Government initiative (apparently) asking if I had received my free light bulbs. I don't live in Victoria, which I advised, and was asked where I do live. So I disconnected the call and blocked the number.
