Someone pretending to be from the tax office, it was an automated message, and threatening to have me arrested for failing to comply with the result of a tax audit.
I'm a tax agent so I know this is BS. Just hang up on them and move on with your life.

Received a call from (03) 9028 7930 claiming to be someone from ATO. For fun sake, i started having a discussion with them to avoid my arrest. DO NOT DIVULGE YOUR TFN or any other personal details and enjoy hearing them getting frustrated and angry.

Caller: Scam call - People who told they are ATO officers Charles Adams and Steve Brown

They gave me their badge number and told me that warrant is signed for me for tax fraud. They wanted me to pay immediately more than 1000 AUD to cancel the warrant.\ It was scary and they were very convincing with all this recording machine, statement reading but there was constant background noise like in a call center.
Finally I told them that I don't trust them and disconnected the call.

Australian Tax Office scam. There are similar numbers to this already reported.
Looks as if they keep changing numbers.
The message is a robot voice, claiming that you owe them, and that they are issuing a warrant for your arrest.
Scammed a good friend of mine, but she was able to cancel her card before payment made.

The Tax Office,????? !!!!!!! after me because I have committed terrible tax fraud. They rang twice in about half an hour.
