Automated message, claiming to be the ATO re. a lawsuit lodged against me. Said if I don't call back immediately I will be arrested.
Clearly a scam, the ATO does not say 'gonna be arrested' in messages.

Thanks for this, Received 2 calls and voice mail messages stating call this division but didnt say who they were.

Automated voice (American accent) claiming to be from the ATO and advising that a lawsuit has been lodged against me, call back immediately or you will "get arrested".

Please careful and don't give any of your details to the person. This is a scam and claiming money they are calling from ATO

Received automated phone call from ATO claiming a lawsuit had been lodged against me and if I didn't return the call then a warrant for my arrest would be issued.
I contacted the ATO immediately and provided the number from where it came and was advised that this was indeed a scam.

Caller: Allegedly the ATO. It is clearly a scam.

Whoever is behind this scam sends an automated voice message implying there is a lawsuit against you, and you must call another number immediately. The ATO does not corresponds to you via telephone, and definitely not via an automated call requesting you contact another number. DO NOT leave any personal details. Contact your accountant or the ATO office if you are concerned.

same as the others have reported, I am going to be arrested by the ATO lol.

I only get half the message but it threatens to start arrest proceedings if I don't call back. They are persistent. Keep calling me.

I got the same message , Apparently if i don't call back they will "Get me arrested",
I didn't call back and I'm just sitting here now waiting to be arrested, It's taking a while ,

I've received three calls from this number today - all automated messages. I have confirmed with the ATO that it is a scam. Do not call number, do not give any personal information. Contact the ATO directly if you are concerned.

Also got the same call this morning...SCAM SCAM SCAM!!

sounds like a robot voice and says lawsuit and I will be arrested ATO etc as per other people

Indian person called claiming to be from tax office - when after 5 attempts they couldn't spell my name I hung up.

Recorded message. Put the phone down did not listen beyond Australian Tax Office.
