Caller: Supposed to be Telstra Automated message stating that my internet connection was being disconnected in 24 hours if I did not respond by talking to a technition by pushing 1. As I am not with Telstra and being curious I talked to the ‘technition’ who had a strong Indian accent and very noisy call centre background noise. He gave me his name, Brian Harris, who said I should go to my computer and follow his instructions. I told him I was unable to access the computer and rather than arranging a time for him to phone back, I suggested I phone him when the computer was available. He gave me his phone number as (03) 9028 5881
