Caller: Appears fraudulent - ATO scam Received a robotic voicemail warning me of "Fraud", "warrant for your arrest". I phoned the number and had someone read me their "badge number" then ask me for my full name and Tax File Number. I refused and asked what details they had on file for the number I called from and the line went dead.

Caller: Scammer pretending to be ATO Automated message pretending to be ATO, claimed I had committed tax fraud and that there was a warrant out for my arrest, "Press 1 to speak to a consultant about your options".
For a laugh, I pressed 1 and was transferred to a man. He asked if I wanted him to "solve my tax fraud" and I told him I'd prefer it if he stopped trying to scam people and got a real job that contributed to society. Profanity ensued from his end... "You are a f**king b**ch who smells bad". Definitely a scam call, otherwise ATO officers are a little bit rude!

Computer voice (a woman) left voicemail saying My name is under tax fraud and a warrant is out for my arrest. She continues by saying if I want to cancel my warrant I must call back. I’m all up to date with my tax and have had no contact from the ATO themselves so definitely suspicious. Didn’t call back.
