I ignore and then google the number that usually brings me back to this site and others. DO NOT ANSWER AT ALL- if it’s genuine, a GENUINE message will be left - May Bad Karma fall and rain upon these fools 😡 thanks to everyone that writes a report. Very much appreciated

Received an email from Xero regarding "Urgent: Suspicious Unauthorized Purchase Detected"
When I called the number, spoke to someone with an Indian accent saying someone is trying to hack me. I hung up.

An Indian woman saying she was calling from Telstra. Asking if my internet had been dropping out….. I said I don’t have an account with Telstra. She said it didn’t matter as Telstra are the master something of the internet and went on to say my IP address had been exposed. Then hung up.

Sneaker buggers fooled me with the Melbourne number! Told me they were from Telstra. I said I don’t use Telstra. They said Telstra owns all of the things I use like [starts listing every possible provider]. Said I was at work and can I call them at home when I finish? Do the ol Jerry Seinfeld joke but then they hung up

I received an email paypal saying I authorised a payment of $487 for bitcoin purchase and this phone number to contact if incorrect. It took a long time to answer with “hello” Indian or Indonesian accent. When I asked who I had called he said “it’s PayPal madam” and when I said “really?” He hung up

Indian woman, talking very unclearly and strangely, asking for the home owner of *used my actual personal address*, i said i wasn't. She asked if i was a business or home owner. Said it was about a hot water system. I said she should be ashamed of what she is doing, she muttered something not nice and hung up

Vic government free hotwater upgrade scheme with solar panel bonuses. When asked what company she was calling from offering this, she wouldn't provide any details.

Yep, just got a call from them again. Definitely a scam of some kind.
