Just had a call from a person saying my internet would be disconnected because I had downloaded an infected virus. I asked to ring him back thinking it was a scam. He gave me this number and his name as Shane WIlliams and his Telstra ID as DLS7864.Gave me

Just had a call from this no. Asked for call back no and name, sounded like Ken Williams, such a genuine Indian name. Is Telstra aware that these guys are using their name for calls?

I received an unsolicited call saying my Telstra internet was about to be turned off because I had downloaded a virus. Even before they asked me to enter "team viewer" in my browser I knew they were a problem. I asked what number I could call them back at and they gave me this number and told me to ask for Shane Williams. They all (including the voices in the background) had Indian accents.

These guys rang my mother and told her that there was a problem with her account. She doesn't even have internet.

I just received a call from a person saying he was from Telstra & that they were going to stop my internet as it has been corrupted - he said his name was Justin Porter (not English speaking). I asked for a phone number & a supervisors name & he started to give me a 099 number then realised what he had done & changed it to the number above, also giving me a name of Gary Wilson. I rang this number & got another non english speaking person who then put me through to Gary Wilson also not English speaking, when I mentioned that all the people who I had spoken to were supposed to be in Melbourne & that they had Anglo names & that I thought it was very suspicious that they were going to cancel my internet - I then told him I was reporting him to the authorities he of course hung up very quickly.
