Caller: Taxation Office

I called back before I heard the message sent - my phone flagged it as spam but I wanted to check. Claiming my TFN has been suspended using an automated message. I had already called before hearing this and was asked for my personal information, including my TFN. I only provided my nickname before hanging up to do more research. The taxation office doesn't use numbers when calling - it's private. Also the message they'd left was mentioned by the real ATO as a scam.

so i go a call from the number i was kinda annoyed so i used google translator and asked if they were a scammer and they said yes

claimed to be from ATO and when i called back and said i had a ‘warrant for my arrest’ (as the recorded message said so) he told me to f off

Indian scam, doesn’t matter you press 1 or 2 they will ask you personal information and once you said you can’t speak English and you need interpreter or ask someone for translation they hung up 😂😂😂

Caller: Claimed to be ATO - Scam

Scammer with automated voice message claiming to be ATO.

This message left on voicemail from thus number: Your warrant(?) for arrest(?) is going to issue in next 24 hours. Paper works sent(?) to the registered address has also returned back and signed and delivered." This message was provided by Telstra at no charge to you.

Robo call. Message stares registered Mail returned unsigned. Dial 1, quotes number and advises call time sensitive, legal proceedings.

Someone claiming to be from ATO

Left voicemail which cuts out at the beginning when replayed but I can manage to understand some dialogue “and your warrant for your arrest” “24 hours paperwork sent to registered address has also been sent back unsigned and undelivered” “now before the case to send for execution or receive legal notification “ “(08) 7200 0029 or press 1”

Caller: No Idea

When I return the missed call , a guy claims to be calling from Australia Tax Office when I asked how can I verify that you are calling from ATO. the call went silence and that is why I am searching and leaving this comment.

A few attempts to call this number it was answered and went silenced and then the call is terminated from the other end.

Not able to verify this is genuine a ATO call.
