say that I am being investigated for Tax fraud and a law suit is being compiled against me. Totally fake!

Yup same here. Missed call and called back they say “it’s the tax office” - fraud

I'm in Melbourne, Australia and they called my mobile phone.

It was one of those recorded messages ("This is the Tax Department...you're being investigated for fraud etc).

computer generated message informed me the ATO has launched an investigation in my name, into tax fraud and that I should call the number given.
