Claims to be ATO and demands money and threatens jail.

Caller left message on my answering machine claiming to be from the ATO, regarding tax fraud, apparently if I don't call back I will be arrested lol

ATO tax scam. Calls telling you that they're from the ato and if you don't pay $5000 TODAY you will have the police knocking on your door to arrest you ...TODAY.
Name of Brendan or Brandon? Very rude and aggressive will make you stay on the phone with them to drive to bank.

BUYING AN ASSET IN LOWER PRICE AND SELL IN HIGHER PRICE IN ORDER TO GENERATE PROFIT .

WE ARE AN ONLINE TRADING COMPANY WHO USES AN CLIENT FRIENDLY PLATFORM . WE OFFER ENDLESS OPPORTUNITY THAT COULD HELP TO POTENTIALLY GENERATE PROFIT IN THE FINANCIAL MARKET BY MEANS OF PROVIDING FREE EDUCATION,NEWS AND SUPPORT FOR OUR CLIENT" I called the number on the email to verify their legitimacy, only to find they were a fake.

Left 5 messages on home phone claiming to be Ron Wilson from the ATO in Vic

Definitely a Scam, I kept saying I couldn't understand, so they would get someone else on phone. After a few minutes I had a sinking feeling they may be delaying so they could trace the call back through IP service so I hung up and reported to the Tax office and they said they had been alerted about this scam before regarding Tax Fraud but they did not know what it was about as the perps weren't asking for anything apart from whether I had Legal Representation

same scam phone message on my machine saying about tax fraud mentioned a few first names but none related to me. It was an indian english accent not clearly spoken either.

Considering my phone is on the do not call register doesn't stop him. he is an ....hole

Same speil - ATO legal dept etc... but no longer a foreign sounding fellow - it is a recording with an American/English accent. Still a scam and has called me 6 times today.

Another scammer who didn't stay too long after being told where to go

Girlfriend had a call from this scumbag today. Indian/Sri Lankan or similar accent. Bob. Said he was from the ATO and she had to call him back and that she needed a lawyer and she was in trouble etc etc. I called him. He said She had to call him and that she was in trouble if she didn't. I told him to "Go f*** himself and that his country sucks at cricket." He hung up.....

ATO scam. Hung up when I challenged him. Foreign sounding male.

Mine claimed to be from Tax Office Victoria. Such a strong (European?) accent I couldn't catch his name. Didn't strike me as the way the ATO would be permitted to conduct its business. Hope no-one is caught by it.

Left a voicemail (in an American voice) saying there is a claim for tax fraud against my name and to call back or I will be arrested. What a joke.

received missed call rang back and person claimed to be from tax office .stating that I have an outstanding amount owing and do I have a criminal solicitor . Thats when I asked if that was the scam and to go ahead with proceedings as I know nothing about it. Then I hung up.
