And if they did, just take it to a local company that you trust. I'm sure they can check it over for you for a small fee.

Well, my father-in-law got a call from them today, first they said they were from Advanced System Care (which is a software brand) then they said they were Services for Windows the next time they called. They are trying to get people to pay them $180 to remote access your computer and "fix" it. They get you to send an email before they do anything to say you are happy with their services, then they get you to type the prefetch command into your run prompt, then get you to allow remote access to them. Once this is done they put Advanced SystemCare on your computer (which you can buy for $12.95 online). After I got him to disconnect the phoneline and router power, the mouse was still running around like mad. Well you guessed it, now i have to go through his computer and remove all their stuff and the father-in-law had to cancel his credit card to prevent them taking out any money.My suggestion is to simply hang up on them...after you tell them it is a scam that is.Hope this helps people out.

even i got a call from this guys teling me about my problems about the software and told me to go for a 3 yrs plan for $190 and i used my visa card to pay them,after paying them there was one guy named fredrick joneswho  took the control of my computer on remote way n he instaled some software and now i see my computer is runing much more faster and i am also coverd with anti virus,so i dont think they are scam because they helped me get rid of my problems and also assisted me when i called them on this number..

I had $199-92 taken from my visa card, for fictitious work, I had this checked out the next day by my own Computer Technician, she has a Phd in computers and told me that no one genuine will call me about viruses in my computer because they can't see into my computer. If possible I should cancel the transaction (which I did the next day but was told they had taken the money out of my account). After speaking to the bank they suggested I rang them to see what if any response I would get. I rang the number given to me on the day 03 - 9018 7863 a man with an Indian accent said his name was ?Jeans (hard to understand) I thanked him for scamming my account, he said it was not a scam and if I gave him my name and address he would refund my money (no way would I give him my name or address), they played around with my computer for 41/2 Hrs. They said they were Windows System Services, then later they were Logmeinrescue, and then Advanced System Care, the first person to call me was an Asian lady who would not give a name, the she put me onto a Technician called James Watson followed by a File Updater called Fredrick Jones
