Scam. American style accent computer voice left a message on my voicemail telling me they had filed against me for tax fraud.

Caller: ATO Scam

Don’t know if this a real or auto generated number but there was a robot voiced message left claiming to be the ATO and if I didn’t press 1 to resolve my debt, I would be arrested. Lowlifes!

Caller: Fake ATO

Stated they were from the ATO frauds division, asking for my full name and TFO. When I refused saying that they called me, they should know that, he got very awkward and uncomfortable so I hung up. Lots of background chatter. The guy on the phone sounded Indian, as did the background chatter.

Scam call, a robotic female voice said it's Australian taxation office & my tax file number is suspended.

I called back this number, they answered claiming to be the Australian Taxation Office. I hung up & looked up the actual contact numbers for the ATO via their official website & this number was not one of them.
