Scam about taxes asking personal details.

prank call, asking for send money overseas

I just got the same phone call and when I called back the guy claimed to be calling from ATO.
I report it to www.scamwatch.gov.au
Apparently it is a common scam going around!

oh god ...so was it a fake call....????they gonna call me again tomorrow....N I know what to say to them.....

i have got the same message like steve  i dont know weather it is scam or not. but this does not looks right

Told me that i won $7000 and i have to donate $250 in india to the following namebalbir paneir who live in dheli.

same here. jenny from ATO contacted. the federal govt will give me 7000 if i donate 200 to unisex. i said if i cpuld have 7000 first and donate 700 or 1000. but haha no i have to donate first.

I just got a call from this lot claiming to be ATO & all I have to is call back & quote a reference number & they'll give me $7000. Asian sounding bloke named, wait for it, "Chris Brown." Oh & apparently they said I was eligible because I had no criminal record. The ATO don't have my home number & they've no idea whether I have a criminal record or not.Heads up ppl their doing the rounds again.
