Caller: Scammer

Same old computer-generated voice claiming to be from Australian Taxation Office! These morons aren’t even trying to sound authentic any more. So sick of them interrupting our daily lives.

Caller: Said he was Harry/Henry Gonzales from Westpac Fraud Protection Department. He gave the phone number and Extension 1718

He told me he was checking on 2 uses of my card. I would need to get a new card if I hadn't used it for those 2 transactions. I told him I would phone back after checking with my bank. The bank had their doubts of the caller's credentials.

Says I didn’t file my taxes Correctly and I had to call them back as as Arrest warrant was going to be issued!

Left a voice message that my arrest was imminent and I had to call back immediately. Bloody crooks!

Some guy pretending to be from the ATO, wanting my name and TFN. Unless the ATO moved their call centre to Calcutta, this is a definite scam

Caller: They said they were Australian Taxation Office

Said they ATO but everything they said was really suspicious and the phone prefix was for QLD but the ATO is in the ACT.

Sounded like a fake ATO call

Caller: Pre-recorded scam pretending to be the ATO.

This is definitely a scam, do not press 1, do not call back, just hang up and block them.

They are pretending to be the ATO and saying that there is a warrant out for your arrest. Total BS.
