Scammers just trying to cheat you.hang up.

Saw a missed call. Called back and they claimed to be from the ATO. Sounded like a busy room with many callers in the background. sounds like a scan

Automated voice call stated from ATO about my tax blah...blah..blah

Caller: ATO

I had an electronic message that said that a lien was put on the account. I called the number which was answered saying this was the Australian Taxation Office. I said that they are not the ATO to which they replied it was and when I repeated that they were not the ATO they disconnected the call.

Scam they say they are calling from the ATO when you question them they end the call

They said they were from the Australian tax office, they couldn't even provide my last name, I informed them it wasn't tax time and they promptly hung up. Clearly a scam
