Caller: "Arrest" Scam

Automated voicemail. Rattles off phone number, followed by "now if we don't hear from you, we will have to issue arrest warrant and have you arrested"...

Automatic voice recording, says from ATO and that there is a law suite that has been filed in your name if you don’t call me back on a number that starts with 309 (missed the rest) then there will be a warrant issued for your arrest.

Says they're calling from the ATO about a lawsuit and will have you arrested. Obvious scam but very entertaining

They claim to be the Scam sector of the ATO

Why is it that Telstra doesn’t disconnect these numbers?

The use of a robotic voice and grammatical errors makes this obviously a scam. The voice claims you are involved in a law suit and if you do not call back an arrest warrant will be issued.

Scam call saying they are from the Department of Taxation and there is a law suit against you

I missed the call and rang back.

A woman with a very thick accent, claiming to be the ATO. Wanted my personal details, threatened that if I did not comply immediately an arrest warrant would be issued.

the woman probably should have been more careful with background noise - I could hear a child in the background and it sounded like she was outside...

Just received the same message. Once I stopped laughing, I blocked the caller.
