Called back miss call. Said it was ATO with business short paying tax had to pay immediately

This is undoubtedly a scam. A man with an Indian accent took the call and when I started probing him, he simply hung up. Scum.

yeah got the same message ...knew it was a scam straight away. God they will try anything won't they

Caller: said they were Federal Police on behalf of Tax Office

Said there was legal action against me and I would be arrested. I said rubbish and hung up then called the number back. A man with accent answered Tax Office (not Australian Taxation Office) and I said "I don't believe you" - he then hung up!

Missed a call from this number saying there is a legal case that is going to file against me and a warrant for my arrest. Gave me a ref number and a phone number to call back and don't ignore....

I let this go to my message bank. Glad I did. Message was a recorder voice said warrant for my arrest by ATO. An obvious scam.

ATO Tax office Scam asking you to call the ATO immediately on a number which clearly isnt the ATO.
