fraudsters says they are from Bendigo bank and a large transaction has come out... I dont have an account with Bendigo bank

Heavy Indian accent. Claimed his name was Kevin Williams from Commonwealth bank. Called to inform me there was a $2800 international charge going to a Patti Smith. Asked him to adequately identify himself, he failed to do so. Provided first 4 digits of card number(5217) and confirmation number 1104301924 of the transaction. I asked him if he ever thought about all the people he tried to scam while he was lying in bed at night. Also asked him what t was like living in a world thinking he was smarter than everyone else. At this point he was understandably frustrated. Called him "Motherchod"(look it up) and told him not to bother calling back.

Said his name was David Julius in the Verification Department of CBA (No one on linkedin with that name)

Was going to transfer me to the fraud team...

Heard some background noise and new it was bogus. Then blocked and he tried to ring back...

Called saying they were from Commonwealth Bank. I got suspicious and asked if i could call back.

Deep accent indian rang from (03) 7047 6983 and said that did i use my card for online sales / purchases / did my family bla bla...that since i never sent money oversea's they thought it was odd that there was a transfer for $2800 to Peter Wilson to the Bank of America in USA...and that i need to speak to the verification department and quote ref no 1721 371 804...he would transfer me, the recording sounded real and he said push 4...i didnt i hung up...he then called 3 times but i did not answer...

Apparently my account with CBA (he was calling from headquarters??) was compromised and he was seeking details of payments that I've made from my account - I do not have an account with them!

3 payments of $879.00 total $2637... to a Richard Nolan...
When I asked for number call back was given (03) 9015 4025 ...
Did not bother calling back...

The Raj taught them English but thankfully they cannot disguise their Indian accent. Legitimate Indian call centres should do themselves and the rest of the world a favour & help catch these thieving bastards.

So they do there home work before calling. Spam 100%
