I even had one ring me back after I did that; he told me that I am very rude and quickly hung up. Works every time.

Running out of spaces to block numbers
Posted on July 24, 2017 Caller type: Unknown Location: Australia
"ReachTEL is fully compliant with the Do Not Call Register Act 2006." HAHAHAHAHA What a joke. I am on the do not call register and they have called me. I will be contacting the phone company to block this number from calling me. Pity I can't block all numbers from (03) 900* ****.

This cold calling practice should be illegal. Every week I'm bombarded from different scammers who I repeatedly block. Years ago I stopped entering raffles, surveys or anything that needs my email or ph number. The fine print on all of these advises you that your information will be passed on.
But as much as I try to protect my information and my sanity I'm still harassed Sooo this is my next step:
As per some previous suggestions I've gone to the site to opt out of call. It states it will update within 24hours.
Below I've added a copy of there statement and that this won't stop calls from ACMA, again you have to opt out through their site
RESEARCH CALL OPT OUT
We apologise for any inconvenience our calls may have caused.
If you'd like us to stop calling you with market research calls, please enter your details into the form and we'll add you to our opt out list.
ReachTEL is fully compliant with the Do Not Call Register Act 2006. More information about the Act can be found on the ACMA website.
Please note: This form will only add you to the ReachTEL opt out list which is not to be confused with the ACMA Do Not Call Register. Our database will only prevent you from being contacted by ReachTEL for market research.
