Same experience as mentioned. When I called back and asked her to give me my ebay account credentials, she refused. I threatened to report it to the cops and she said that I was free to report, my card would end up getting debited though. I hung up and when I called again they didn't take my call.

Same, tho I didn't hear anything about ebay. I couldn't properly understand the recorded message, except that my card will be charged $199 for a gift card. I have never purchased a gift card of any sort, let alone through ebay. I suspected a scam and straight to internet search to find who is behind the phone number, and hence to this page. Seems like alot of others have had same. Has anyone actually been charged the $199 or $99? Did you get refunded and if so, how?
I'm blocking that number...

Another scammer......$199 to be direct debited from my account from e Bay. Why are they still operating? authorities have been notified and they are still going at it.

Same as above. Just got a call saying ebay purchase of itunes gift card for $199.99 that will be charged to my credit card and if I want to cancel or refund to call (08) 8121 8488.

Got the same call today! As soon as we asked what scam this was they hung up.

I called back number (03) 9005 6214 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.
