Like comment posted 5 February 2026, I had calls on 16 & 17 February claiming to be from Telstra and saying they had detected a problem with with my internet service. I was old to google to get my ISP number and then to read it out to them! I hung up both times. There was no problem with my internet service and this was clearly a scam.

Caller claiming to be from Telstra claiming my internet was on public instead of private and wanting to start a process to correct it. I said I would call Telstra direct. Is this a scam? Any information on it please
