Caller: “Telstra Internet Security”

When I answered the man calling told me he was from “Telstra” calling about my internet security. I said that my internet is not through Telstra, he then said his records say he is speaking with [my full name] I did not acknowledge what he’d said, I just repeated that my internet is not through Telstra. He said that he is not calling about my internet connection he is calling about my internet security because “Telstra is the mothernet provider of all internet in Australia and assigns all IP addresses” so they can see my IP address has been accessed by multiple users and has been blacklisted. As soon as he said Telstra assigns all IP addresses did a quick google to confirm what I was already pretty sure of while he continued talking, when he paused I said “you’ve just lied, Telstra is one of the main network providers, but it does NOT assign all IP addresses in this country.” Then he got angry and demanded “and who are you to question what I’m saying?” “Excuse me?” He said it again “see you have proved you don’t work in customer service with the way you’re talking now” and just before he hung up on me he said “do you want to choke on my d*ck”.

My phone flagged this as potential fraud. I did not answer and they did not leave a message. I have blocked the number.

This is a blocked number on my phone. Had a missed call from it today. It's 100% a scam caller
