Ah good old Brenda from commonwealth bank

He said he was from visa scam dept and could see that my IP address had been compromised. He said someone had gained access to my details and there were suspect transactions being made. I freaked out. Told me I need to go thru and give him details- when I just stopped and questioned as to how he found me.
When I asked him which account was affected he couldn’t exactly pinpoint the account. I asked him which bank I was with, again a stutter. I told him I’d go past my bank as I was out and he was persistent saying that I must listen and do what he said. I hung up and went past the bank, reported what happened. They checked everything- all good, thankfully as I was online the night before.
Major scammer alert on this number.
BEWARE!!!!!!

Claimed to be from the scam dept from visa . Told me he had found that my IP address had been compromised and was made public and transactions were being made on my account. Wanted me to log on and go thru account details with him. Was shopping at the time. When I questioned him as to why my bank hadn’t contacted me, and which bank I was with, he avoided my question. Told him I didn’t have time as I was out, and I was going to stop in at the bank on my way home. He was very persistent and told me he had to keep me on the phone so we could do it then and there. I just hung up, went to the bank, reported it. They checked everything- which was all good. I was relieved , as I was online the night before.

As I now silence any numbers not in my phone, the Robot left a voice message saying there were suspicious Visa transactions and press 1.
They have been blocked.

Pretended to be Brenda from the Commonwealth bank & I needed to press buttons to stop a bitcoin purchase

Scammer claiming to be from the Visa security department

Caller: Claimed Telstra

Hung up when I told them I was not a Telstra customer

Caller: Spammer Commonwealth bank security

Indian accented voice, normal I'm from Commonwealth bank security blurb. Scam

Caller: I don’t know

Didn’t leave a message, suspect spam

Caller: Don't know

Ring twice and hang up. Becoming extremely annoying when trying to sleep. Too many of these numbers that ring twice and hang up.

Claiming to be from Telstra saying that my internet speed is not correct and that he can help me get quicker and faster internet speed. He hung up when I said I would ask my daughter because she works at Telstra!!!
