Yes, this is obviously the way the ANZ outsource Credit Card Applications. We have serious assets and more than the average wage in overseas income, but as we did not tick all the box's got declined for a 6k AUD Credit Card when we already have a 60k ANZ NZD Credit Card and 600kAUD in the bank by someone who could hardly speak English clearly.

Terrible credit card application process. Can’t even write my full name due to a character limit and after stated I longer wanted anything to do with the company they rang me back minutes later. Very aggressive, avoid ANZ at all costs.

Called me 3 times. 2nd time I answered but I couldn't understand him and he hung up. 3rd time, I answered again and he said he was with ANZ but the name of my phone said Hallett Hill Holdings so idk but I just said I didn't have a ANZ account.

Caller: Someone claiming to be from ANZ

I did apply for a credit card with ANZ and I was getting calls from this number and text messages from unknown mobile number. When I rang known ANZ Bank number and asked to speak to the relevant people regarding my credit card application assessment, I was told that I can't speak to them and only they have to call me. I told my concern about giving my identifying information and discussing my finances with an unknown caller I can't identify. He sympathised with my position but he said that it was their system. It is unbelievable that a major bank is doing this. Very disappointed with ANZ.

101 message from rapid speaking Asian accented female, have no bloody idea what bullsh*t she was on about. Chat in background - have to be a call centre scammer.
Rang the number 24hrs later out of curosity, more Asian accented BS, disjointed loud music with apologies for wasting my time. After 8 minutes I hung up. Found an ANZ number 133333, rang that that, barely any better and after 18 minutes I gave it away too ! If this is really ANZ running the show they should have a good hard look at their business model, for mine - they are totally unprofessional and make me think to distance myself from them ie close account. Unbelievable, still think it's scammers, a major Aussie Bank can't be this bad !

I got a call from this number saying she's from ANZ and asking for my details. I asked what it is for and she hung up the call. I contacted ANZ and this is the response I got - "Thanks for your patience. I've checked here thoroughly and unable to see this number in our database at all."

She call on this number (03) 8654 0000 . First she say hello she ask my nationality of my country. I told her I am Australian . I ask her what she want . She say she want my Centrelink CRN number income statement from Centrelink to show my name she wants more information about my statement of my bank account . I am very upset and I told her I going to make a complain . I ask what is your name Chitra no sir name she is lier . That time I am very angry and I want to speak to the manager incharge . I hang up my mobile and she call again twice . But I did not answer .

Apparently Sandeep from ANZ settlements team based in India. Calling me at 6.30pm aest. Asking me for my telecode and when I said I wasn’t going to confirm it because he called me, he asked me for my D.O.B?! Yeah nah mate.

I did not answer, the caller left a voicemail, wanted to discuss a personal loan I did not apply for. Advised me to complete a form they emailed me and quote the loan number I did not enquire about. They had not sent me an email at the time of writing this.

Very Rude and obnoxious when I didn't give my full name - which he rang me (not the other way around). If this is ANZ - get your bloody act together. You're a billion dollar bank for goodness sake. Surely you have better protocols than to make random calls to people asking for their details.

Screening following a credit card application. I hate it when the first question is my full name when they haven't even proved who they are.
This call centre has VERY poor & scratchy comms and agents are often impossible to hear, let alone understand. Sure ANZ can afford a better call centre.

Indian Accent saying was calling from ANZ regarding a recent enquiry I had made.

I had made an enquiry recently, I asked the voice on the phone what specific enquiry it was for and he said he could not disclose that information.
Demanded my first and last name. I hung up and looked this number up. Seems I am not alone

ANZ outsourced the phone interview stage of their recruitment process. Heavy Indian accent. She would often speak over me, giving me the impression that she wasn't too concerned what my answers were - just filling in boxes.

I applied for a job through ANZ. A man rang me from this number, asked a heap of questions and then said that ANZ would be in touch with me in the next 3 weeks. It's been over 6 weeks. Guess I didn't get the job or it was a scam the whole time. You just never know.
