Trying to sell solar panels with a potential government rebate. They were polite and hung up when I said I am in a strata building.

I've been getting calls from this number for I don't know how long now, maybe as far back as a year, and I have never answered a single call. Anything starting with (03) 8... is no friend of mine and probably not a prospective customer either, so I always let it ring out. Despite this, I still get calls from these people about twice a week, and so that means I've probably received triple figures worth by now. It's interesting to come here and see they are aggressively flogging solar panels. I can't imagine the outcome if I actually answered one of their calls...maybe they'd start calling every day!!

I either use the I have solar panels and when they ask if its for electricity or hot water, I say both. But then got caught by some company willing to offer upgrades etc. So now my favorite go to answer is "We rent". That usually gets them off the phone straight away.

I love 'em. Here's what to say... I'm detective chief inspector Kelvinator. (the brand name of the fridge. You can use anything around the house/office). This is a murder scene. How did you know the deceased? Don't hang up we are traceing this call. What is your full name and address? What is your date of birth? You had better let your manager know that a police car is coming to pick you up. You will probably be held at the police station for a few days. He will have to let your family know as they will have to bring you some food. etc. etc... Have a laugh... brightens up your day!

Call from "Clean Energy Australia" claiming they're a solar company and we were eligible for "free solar energy".

So I made an appointment. A rep shows up. (Late and on the wrong day I might add) He has no idea - his company buys "hot" leads from a group in the Phillipines. I feel sorry for him, half his day is spent dealing with irate people like me. But then if you pay scammers what are your own standards? Karma is a biatch. So; Make an appointment! Waste their time and money! When Australian companies stop buying their bullsh*t leads they will stop calling.

They wont give up calling despite telling them I have no interest and asked over 20 times to remove me from the list. I block the number, but they end up calling on another similar number. Here is how you handle them... Lead them on and on and then say just hold a second whilst I open the door for someone and then never return to their call. They spend a few minutes waiting for you and waste their time.

Have received about 20 calls from this number and repeatedly asked to be taken off their list. is there anywhere you can make an official complaint about this company? Today the call centre manager tells me she has taken my details off and I won't receive another call. I won't hold my breath....
