All the utility businesses should just offer competitive rates in the first place. Then they would not need to spend so much on marketing and telemarketing etc. But I suppose these activities are business expenses that can be claimed.........

As others have said, they tried to get me back as a customer. Despite the fact that I told them that I would go with another retailer unless they could offer better rates (which they said they could not at the time), now they are saying that they can. Wouldn't it better to let me know that before I switched?? I said that I would need to review this new offer to compare with my new provider so please send me the rates. They said that they would call tomorrow after they have sent the rates, but I have since received 3 more calls asking for the same information, and I haven't even received the requested information yet. This is extremely annoying when I am at work!

Offering 30% discount - bit too late! Why were they ripping me off if they could've offered before!

Ring every day, sometimes twice a day, including weekends. Recently cancelled my AGL policy, so obviously trying to win me back.

I did the big switch last week and AGL have been ringing me constantly since. If they rewarded loyalty with lower prices I'd still be with them. We are lucky to have solar panels. AGL's feed in tarriff for solar was 7 cents I will get 19 cents with new big switch deal and NO lock in contract.

Yes, twice today. I read from the other posts that this is AGL. We just dumped AGL, so I can imagine that this is absolutely the case. I have now blocked the number.

My 'issue' , posted yesterday has apparently been 'moderate' out - by AGL.
No matter - the full story is going to the CEO AGL and the Power and Water Ombudsman.

AGL - desperate to prevent me moving elsewhere. Too late, much, much too late. I'm counting the days - only 7 more 'sleeps' until the Final Meter Reading - also the Initial Meter Reading for the 'other' supplier. I initiated the transfer in January!
'They' just don't get the message.
IF a 'service provider' is incapable of providing a'Service , namely, incapable of resolving a still ongoing faulty billing (overcharging) issue after 3 full months, several calls and emails - AND they keep harassing existing Customers with telemarketing - unsolicited calls attempting to sell more 'product' - THEN they can expect that people will go elsewhere, seek other 'service providers'. These telemarketing calls - the classic 'call-leave no message-hangup', followed by a recorded message 'response' when the number is called back are ODIOUS Communications' LITTER. Blocking the number/s is the only way to stop these disruptions - neither a Silent Line nor an entry in the Do Not Call Register prevent them. BLOCK the number.

Exactly! The same thing is happening to me. They've been ringing 2-3 times a day for over a month. Just had another call then on a Saturday afternoon. I gave them a chance to match the better rates I was being offered but they declined so I have changed over and yet they still ringing...definitely harassment!

They, AGL have called most days for the past two to three weeks and wanted to know why I have chosen another energy retailer. Despite me explaining why, they continue to ring. I have asked them not to call. When does this become harassment.

This number has called me 4 times in 1 day so far and whenever I pick up the call there is silence until the call disconnects. They don't leave voice mail either.
