ah ... so telstra are calling me back to resolve a problem i complained about 4 years ago, and re-visit by a reminder complaint email to them (via their outstanding {choking} website complaint forum -tried it? dont. it's only capable of giving error messages) every six months. Still no resolution to the original complaint...oh but 780 new ones to embed into it? delight. Can't wait till they call back

This number is NOT Telstra, it is a contractor to Telstra who has all your personal account information. The company is Aegis Services Aust Pty Ltd they are located at Level 6, 15 William Street Melbourne Vic 3000

This number keeps ringing my mobile, but because of various reasons I need to screen my calls. Is this really a Telstra number? Don't their staff know how to leave a message on voicemail? stupid telstra So, they never leave a message - how am I supposed to know it is a legit call? I do have a complaint in with Telstra, I do want to get it resolved, but I can't answer my phone and they don't leave a message.

Same problem. If you want me to contact you back, leave a message with a return number. Congratulations again telstra, you've done it again. I also cannot answer my mobile and contacted the ombudsman because of your sh*tty service and out of this world exit fees, and now you ring 4x a day and hang up without leaving a message.

I have cancelled Telstra Bigpond internet and the Home phone in FEBRUARY, but they keep sending me invoice every month with late payment fees complained to the Ombudsman. Now (in JULY)they called mefrom this number if I want to cancel their service. Their letters and my comments have sent back to their address every month went to a wrong department that what they are saying. Are they Crazy? Or Un-organized?

Further to my feedback on 9th April 2013. Seems I was right about the dodgy practice on follow up calls for complaints. When I rang Telstra today as to why the complaint was not fixed, the Asian girl said it is on record that they tried to call on that date and I did not respond. I did answer but then they hung up. This seems a common ploy for them to satisfy making calls but not having to do anything about fixing the complaint. I wonder if Telstra corporate is aware their contractors are scamming them too!

Same story, rang my mobile, then hung up. If it is a contractor following up Telstra complaints, because I have a long standing unresolved one too, they probably have a KPI about making calls to complainants, not about actually resolving complaints, so by them hanging up and falsly writing it down as a 'no answer' they get to keep their jobs and don't have to put up with the anger of such a vast amount of problems they have caused by developing a dysfunctional communication and support system.

The Telstra execs are blissfully unaware and living in la la land as I imagine so much effort is made to ensure they don't have any problems that there is no time to fix the average Joe's problems and keeps them sheltered and believing everything is running smoothly.

rb is right. Forced to stick with them because all the competitors are even worse basket cases and the Telstra joke is a common funny thread that the whole community can identify with.

Beware if a new player actually figures out how to deliver reliable service, but I guess they all rely on Telstra themselves in some way so destined to fail as Telstra ensures that they remain the best of a bad bunch.

Though they are not helping me out to pay bill and now my services are being restricted!! im not sure why telstraa are so stupid but something has to be done, im on a contract with them and im sure service is part of the contract and doesnt this mean contract is void and i can cancel with them?

They call me @ 6pm and I miss the call, I can't call back on the same number so I call the 1800 number after I receive a sms from them and it closes @ 5pm ????
Perhaps they should call me within business hours!
I do want to know the result of my complaint as I was billed for 5 insterstate phone calls which were associated with TPG and I did not make the calls. Seems I am not the only one this has happened to. How do TPG do this? My internet is with them and I am not happy. I will be checking every bill usage from now on.

Telstra Complaints Department are trying to call me because one of their own staff members logged a complaint on my behalf without my authorisation. This only compounds the actual problem which was Telstra being unsuccessful in connecting my home PSTN line for over 2 months. They not only provided an unsatisfactory customer experience but now they're following it up by annoying the customer further with these complaint department related calls.
Go back to the basics Telstra. You've replaced services with I.T. systems. Guess what? Customers don't want your systems. We want service and if Telstra won't provide it, we'll find an alternate organisation that will.
It's a great time to be an up and coming telecommunications service provider!

This is from customer omplaints and claims line, if you have a telstra complaint or a claim loged then you WANT to talk to these guys, they will help you sort your problem out. Don't ignore them they aren't trying to sell you stuff, noobs.

rusty

If this is telstra complaints and they are ringing me why don't they respond when I answer the phone?

rb

i've been a long time customer of Telstra and the Complaints response line has a lot of complaints - with good reason.  I went overseas and suspended Telstra services because there are no rewards offered for long time customers and the overseas charging will be found to be fraudulent in future class actions.  Like Libyan Rebels, I quietly pray for the day that the Gadafi that is Telstra is brought down and replaced with well, anything (except Vodafone, Optus, Orange or Virgin who are all little Gadafi's-in-the-wings waiting for a shot at the title). On the day I went overseas, I changed my OGM telling friends and colleagues to email me only - do not call and do not SMS as messages will not be received or answered.  I did exactly what Telstra inthe Philippino Call Centre told me to do.  I disabled all data roaming etc etc.  Still, my bill half way through a billing cycle had doubled.  I pointed this out to them in an online complaint - then Telstra started bombarding me with calls - ignoring the OGM they had instructed me to record.  It really is funny and you have to see the funny side of it or otherwise, the work of terrorists starts to look valid.I know someone up the food chain in Telstra who admitted to me they made a big mistake moving customer service off shore and having the national workflow so convoluted a customer repeats personal identification details up to 7 times to 7 different consultants in 7 different locations. For a couple of hours of insane sanity (oxy-moron intended) watch Terry Gilliam's film BRAZIL and get a satirical insight into this prophetic movie.I'll stick with Telstra - for the laughs and the ultimate demise of an increasingly stupid company committing slow suicide in the so-called Lucky Country.
