Just got an identical text message to the others here from Dimi, her return number was listed as (03) 8611 2609.The text message came from the 2600 number listed here.
They got the initial for my surname wrong as well, which adds to the obvious lack of credibility. Like other people here, I called through and it went to Voice Mail. Thanks for the heads up. Safe to ignore I think.
they collect debts. I have an overdue DVD fee with network video. they text and keep calling. $12! desperation! SMS says to call eCollect on (03) 9999 7911 Oh I have had the same, 8611 2600 - but the f@ckers cant provide proof... ignoring it! Got the same message stating my first and middle name rather than my last name saying I have an outstanding debt which may appear on a National Default registry. Call Dimi on (03) 8611 2609 Ref: BB............. I have had Blockbuster send me stuff about outstanding monies b4 but not sure this is the samething. kept sending scam message and tried to grab people's identities. dodgy business Caller: (03) 8611 2639
Got a message from ola saying I owe them money for a fare I couldn't pay. This isn't the case as you can't book a ride without paying upfront on your nominated card
I typed the number on Google and a whole lot of others have received - scam
Caller: Dale texted and emailed
You have an outstanding amount at yum property group. You name may appear in national Default registry. Call (03) 9999 7901.yumpg0001. This was our broker or mediator who we build the house. We have setteled all 2 and half years ago and now I got a this. No one is picking up the call when I have them a call. Not sure why the hell they did to us. I am so worried as why they did to us when we don’t vow them anything.
They are trying to say I had overdue videos from a local video store back in 2015. The video store has now closed down long ago and the address they have supposedly been sending the notices to, I have not lived at for over 5 years. I have NEVER had outstanding overdue video fines, in fact I was always known to pay any late fees (the few times it did happen) on the day I returned the videos. The titles this crowd are trying to say I had overdue, I have NEVER seen. They wanted me to give them my current address so they could pursue the debt - yeah right buddy, I ain't giving you any personal details over the phone for overdue fees that I cannot even defend.
Caller: Daniel eCollect
I received a message today, as following. Whichi know i do not have any outstanding debt.
GEMMA, You have an amount outstanding with eCollect which may appear on a national default registry. Call Daniel on (03) 8611 2691. Ref:TOPVU048###
Yes they are real for video and gym memberships lol that are owed, my debt as they said was for $12 lol after I stopped laughing I told them what had happened with the video store and he wiped the debt, they chase very very small debts I got one of these today. Only used my first name, email Peter and quote a reference. Does not identify the company, does not know my full name, seems dodgy.
I looked up the website ownership and ABN records, there have been multiple business names registered with websites that are all gone. That seems dodgy.
They seem to target your local video store, which probably closed years ago. Clever, because you cannot call the store and check if you owe money.
I'm ignoring them.
I got the same scam SMS as all of the other comments above. Spelt my name wrong and used middle name instead of first name - first sign of DODGY. #SCAM Just received this...Dear S*******, please contact Peter on peter.zouzoulas @ ecollect.com.au and quote Ref: B*********
Not sure if this is a scam?? But seems dodgy!
received text message - please contact Yeraldin on yeral @ ecollect.com.au and quote ref no:
I rang the number and it asked for 3 digit number so I did from the quote number it went to message and said to leave contact details eg. Name and address and credit card details.
scam I've had constant calls from this business, .If you have had Recent calls from this organisation it means one thing, you've got an outstanding debt with a business or person for goods or services that you have benefited from.
If you've ever owned a service based business you will understand what it's like not to be paid by people who have a different excuse for non payment For each day of the week.
This business doesn't pester or nuisance call innocent individuals, they Persue debts for businesses that have had no success in Receiving payment. Stop making out to be the victim when this number contacts you.
Ignorance will see the matter go to VCAT.
I can verify that This caller is completely legititmaite and they will only contact you if you have unpaid debt with a person or organisation. I can say this with confidence as they act on behalf of me all the time got a 2 text messages from the (03) 8611 2600 saying please contact Dale on dale @ ecollect.com.au and quote ref: no. So glad I checked here because I'm waiting for a package and I thought it was a delivery company! I won't be contacting anyone now.
